As is to be expected, this virus is also found in inland waters, and it proliferates there during the summer, when the water temperature rises to more than 20 degrees Celsius.
The treatment of cholera is done through antibiotics and serums. Antibiotics allow to eliminate the bacteria and reduce the temporary extension of the diarrheal picture. The serum, intravenous and oral, is essential to reverse dehydration, providing elements such as potassium and sodium.
Given that the areas in which this virus proliferates tend to be low-income, it is very important to prevent the disease through certain precautions in daily life in the summer months.
