If we want to know the current term in depth, the first thing we must do is try to discover its etymological origin. And this is found in Latin, specifically in the verb currere, which is synonymous with “run”.
According to abbreviationfinder.org, corriente is an adjective that allows us to name the one or the thing that runs. The term can be applied to the passage of time to name the current moment or the one that is passing. For example: “The government promised a definitive solution during the course of the current month”, “The current year reflects a better financial performance of the company”.
Another current acceptance is linked to what is currently in use or what was in use at the time in question: “In those days, the current dress included a hat in the case of men”, “The current regulations prohibits bathing in this river due to its high levels of contamination”, “The current currency in the European territory is the euro”.
What is commonly known or admitted, that which has no hindrance to its use or what happens frequently is also known as ordinary: “This is an ordinary machine, I don’t think you will have problems using it”, “I bought an ordinary jacket, but the truth is that I needed it so as not to suffer with the low temperatures”, “It is common to see fights at night in this neighborhood”.
Nor can we forget the existence of what is known as a sea current. It is a term that we use in the field of science to refer to the movements at surface level carried out by the waters of both the seas and the oceans.
Thus, for example, in the usual colloquial language it can be said: “The man who was swimming fainted and that was what caused him to be dragged much further by the sea current.
In the same way, there is also the so-called fluvial current, which is the sheet that the riverbed has at the surface level. That is made up of the water supplied by the streams as well as the possible melting of what would be snow.
And then, on the other hand, but also within the scientific field, there are the so-called air currents. These are very fast air flows that occur on various planets, as would be the case with Earth.
Electric current, on the other hand, is a physical magnitude that reflects the amount of electricity that, in a unit of time, flows through a conductor. This flow of electrical charges is measured in amps, according to the International System.
It is possible to distinguish between direct current (the electric current that flows in the same direction) and alternating current (which reverses the direction of its movement according to a certain periodic frequency).
In addition to all the above, we must not forget the city of Corrientes. It is a city in Argentina that acts as the capital of the province that gives it its name.
In the 16th century, this population has its origins, which has attractions such as the Convent of San Francisco or the Church of the Cruz de los Milagros.
